Information & Common Questions
Here are some of the answers to common questions we receive before visiting the estate. If your question has not been covered below, please Contact Us.
Caution should be taken around the grounds owing to differential and irregular ground levels, including shallow but sheer drops, tree roots, rabbit warrens etc, with sensible footwear being required at all times and pathways may become slippery with some areas being restricted for wheelchair access. If assistance is required please ask a member of staff. Avoid parking or resting below trees and caution should be taken for low hanging branches. There are water hazards within the grounds and vehicles sharing routes and moving around the site and children/vulnerable persons should be supervised at all times. In the event of an accident or incident please report this immediately to a member of staff.
Some areas of the gardens are unsuitable for wheelchairs, scooters and other mobility aids — we have provided a signed wheelchair route through the Temple Garden for example.
Accessible toilets and parking are available at the Tea Rooms. On occasion, due to wet weather or otherwise, our parking and accessible parking area is relocated. Should you have any queries please contact the Estate Office on 01829 720 203 prior to visiting.
Dogs are welcome in the gardens but should be kept on leads at all times.
